Depending on your starting point there are several options.
From the United States and other part of the world, traveling by air is the best way to get to Ireland. Aer Lingus offers some direct flights into Dublin and Shannon from several locations.
If you are traveling from the mainland Europe, ferries are also an option in combination with air travel. Low fare airlines, such as Ryanair, EasyJet or SkyEurope offer flights from all part of Europe.
If you are coming from the UK, ferries might be your best option if you live on the western side of England, Wales or Scotland. You can travel either as a foot passenger or bring your personal vehicle. Stena Line offers a fast ferry service to several locations in Ireland.
